snow day!!!

Next adventure:  part 2 of student teaching!  This time, it's the MN version :)  After arriving in MN and moving in twice (long story), we started out our first couple of days at Fourth Baptist Christian School in 2nd and 4th grade.  I have learned quickly that 2nd grade is oh so much different from 6th grade ;)  Anyways, the talk at school was that there was snow coming and we followed through with the inside-out pajamas (just to help the snow along).  And...  it worked!!!  Snow day!!!!

We began our snow day by sleeping in and followed up with nice large mugs of tasty coffee :)  We also decided to do something worthwhile with our day so we chose to tackle the task of clearing the path to the door!

And of course, once we cleared the walkway, we decided to continue on and attack the driveway:  both minnesota and wyoming style ;)

Even Sarah's truck was buried in the snow...  The trees were beautiful!  Covered in a little ice first and dusted with snow on top...

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."

Isaiah 55:10-11

We lost our jackets rather quickly due to the strenuous work!

And we succeeded!  The driveway seemed to expand the more we shoveled, but we diligently shoveled away and accomplished our goal :)

We spent the rest of our afternoon reading (in which I finished an entire book of 500+ pages) and we're now ending our afternoon at Caribou Coffee for bogo coffee and internet ;)

And so begins our second student teaching placement!
